The duo met via Instagram in 2020 during the pandemic. Tichy had turned to baking and making ice cream to fill his time; she offered to be a taste-tester.
They had their first date during the height of the pandemic. Tichy bought ice cream from every shop nearby and they sat and talked.
“It was wonderful in such a weird time. That was the beginning of our relationship. It all centered around ice cream,” he says.
Their relationship flourished — and so did the business. A bricks-and-mortar location seemed a natural next step.
