Epiphanius to hold second service in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
According to him, the liturgy on the occasion of the Baptism of Jesus Christ will begin at 09.00 a.m. The OCU received permission for the service from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, and also agreed the event with the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve.

On Jan. 5, the Assumption Cathedral and the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, which had been leased by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), were returned to state control. The decision was made by the commission that took an inventory of the property and inspected the buildings.

On Jan. 7, on Eastern Orthodox Christmas Day, Epiphanius conducted a first service in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

At the time, the head of the State Ethnopolitics Committee Viktor Yelenskyi said that the OCU would be able to serve in the Lavra in the future.
