‘A new era;’ University of Cincinnati officially joins Big 12

Saturday, the University of Cincinnati officially entered the Big 12 as a conference member.

In September the Big 12 announced that UC along with Brigham Young University, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Houston will join the conference.

UC Athletics held a “Big 12 Bash” at Rhinegeist Brewery Friday to celebrate the university’s entry.

“We are proud to officially join the Big 12 Conference and take our Bearcats spirit to a new level. The excitement at UC has never been greater,” the university said on social media.
