Erbes Fire Threatens Structures and Residents in Thousand Oaks, California
The Erbes Fire in Thousand Oaks, California, grew to approximately 250 acres on Thursday, January 14, threatening structures and prompting voluntary evacuations, the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) said.
Footage shared by the VCFD shows the blaze’s progression near Erbes Road. No structures were lost as control lines were formed around most of the area, the fire department wrote on Twitter.
A red flag warning was issued from 4:00pm on Thursday until 4:00pm on Friday for Los Angeles and Ventura County. The National Weather Service also warned of fire weather conditions in Santa Barbara County due to “gusty offshore winds”. Credit: Ventura County Fire Department via Storyful
