Erie County high school sports Top Performers for Sept. 26-Oct. 1

Here are some of the best performances by high school athletes from District 10 over the past week. Find new highlights throughout the week at GoErie.com.

Football

Camariyon Bridges, Cathedral Prep: He had three first-half touchdown receptions in Prep's 41-0 win over McDowell and finished with four catches for 75 yards.

Wakeem Page, Cathedral Prep: He was the Ramblers' leading receiver in their win over McDowell with seven catches for 116 yards.

Luke Costello, Cathedral Prep: He threw three touchdown passes in Prep's win against McDowell. Finished 13-of-28 for 213 yards.

Suhtaun Lewis, Cathedral Prep: He totaled 15 carries for 109 yards and one touchdown in the Ramblers' win.

Mason Savitz, Corry: He scored two touchdowns in the Beavers' 21-point fourth quarter as Corry defeated Fairview 28-27. Savitz got the late rally started by returning an interception for a score. A one-yard run by Savitz tied the game at 27-27 and the ensuing PAT gave Corry the lead.

Charles Chevalier, Fairview: He finished with 14 carries for 85 yards and one touchdown in Fairview's loss to Corry.

Jeremy Frazao, Fairview: He had six receptions for 121 yards and one TD in Fairview's loss.

Justin Leuschen, Fort LeBoeuf: He racked up 134 yards and two touchdown runs on 17 carries in the Bison's 36-7 win against Girard.

Conner McChesney, Fort LeBoeuf: He accounted for two touchdowns through the air and one on the ground in LeBoeuf's 36-7 win. McChesney completed 5-of-9 passes for 91 yards.

Kyle Birkmire, General McLane: He showed off his speed on two different scoring plays, a 99-yard kickoff return and a 56-yard reception, in McLane's 35-14 win against Harbor Creek.

Dylan Sheeder, General McLane: He had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run in General McLane's win against Harbor Creek. Sheeder had 15 carries for 70 yards and completed 4-of-6 passes for 62 yards.

Ian Salisbury, General McLane: He had one of the rarer nights in District 10, returning two blocked punts for touchdowns.

Sam Kightlinger, Iroquois: He rushed 13 times for 128 yards in Iroquois' loss to Senenca.

Jeremy Ganska, Mercyhurst Prep: He finished with 15 carries for 130 yards in Mercyhurst Prep's loss to Eisenhower.

Ben Campbell, Northwestern: He totaled 124 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries in the Wildcats' 56-18 win against Union City.

Lloyd Fountain, Northwestern: The Wildcats quarterback had three touchdown passes and a touchdown reception in a 56-18 win over Union City. Through the air, Fountain was 4-of-7 for 102 yards.

Logan Stagl, Northwestern: He threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Fountain in Northwestern's win against UC. Stagl also added points on defense, returning a fumble seven yards for a TD.

Landon Wayne, Northwestern: He made a pair of touchdown receptions in Northwestern's win. He finished with four catches for 57 yards.

Nolan Seabury, Seneca: The quarterback had six touchdown runs and a touchdown pass in Seneca's 67-0 win over Iroquois. Seabury finished with 10 carries for 107 yards and completed 7-of-10 passes for 136.

Ryan Miller, Seneca: He had only three carries in Seneca's 67-0 win over Iroquois, but two went for touchdowns. Miller finished with 107 yards.

Boys golf

Breckin Taylor, Cathedral Prep: The junior, at 1-over par 145, won District 10's Class 3A tournament for the second time.

Josh James, Union City: The PIAA's reigning Class 2A titlist, at 6-over par 150, won the District 10 Class 2A tournament.

Elizabeth D'Andrea, Erie High: She'll be District 10's lone representative at the PIAA Class 3A tournament thanks to her two-round, nine-stroke victory at The Country Club of Meadville.

Anna Swan, North East: The former PIAA Class 2A team champion won District 10's individual tournament (1-over par 145) by one stroke thanks to a birdie on the final hole.

Alexis Marsh, McDowell: Her round of 94 was the lowest for the Trojans when they defended as District 10's 3A champions.

Boys soccer

Gio Masone, General McLane: His two goals led the Lancers when they defeated Erie High 2-1.

Liam Pikiewicz, Seneca: He accounted for all the offense when the Bobcats blanked Iroquois 2-0.

Kenny Zacks, Mercyhurst Prep: He contributed a goal and an assist during the Lakers' 3-2 victory over North East.

Braylon Thayer, Girard: A three-goal, one-assist performance highlighted the YellowJackets' 6-0 shutout of Fort LeBoeuf.

Joshua Salmon, McDowell: His six goals were the most for the Trojans when they routed Corry 24-1.

Joel Morey, North East: He assisted on the Grapepickers' first goal and scored their second when they defeated Harbor Creek 2-1.

Carter Sindlinger, General McLane: He scored the go-ahead goal for the Lancers in a 2-0 win at Mercyhurst Prep.

Girls soccer

Madison Soudan, Girard: Her two goals and an assist were significant to the YellowJackets' 4-0 victory at Titusville.

Mallory Hammill, Seneca: She followed up her two-goal performance in the Bobcats' previous match, a victory against Maplewood, with a shutout effort as their goalkeeper when they blanked Girard 2-0.

Abby Faulhaber, McDowell: Her goal and two assists were part of the Trojans' 10-0 rout of Meadville.

Callie Cacchione, Cathedral Prep: She recorded the go-ahead goal in the second half of the Ramblers' 2-1 victory against Fort LeBoeuf.

Reese Weismiller, Harbor Creek: She scored one goal on a free kick and assisted on the second goal when the Huskies and Fairview tied 2-all after two overtime periods.

Leya Bretz, Harbor Creek: She accounted for the Huskies' goals when they tied General McLane at 2-all.

Sophia Allison, General McLane: She recorded a goal and assist for the Lancers when they tied Harbor Creek at 2-all.

Elise Cacchione, Fort LeBoeuf: She recorded a goal and an assist for the Bison when they beat Fairview 4-1.

Addie Stark, Cathedral Prep: As the goalkeeper of record for the Ramblers' 3-0 win over Mercyhurst Prep, she also helped assure coach Peter Wagner his 100th victory with the program.

Girls volleyball

Samantha Zank, Harbor Creek: She totaled 11 kills and five digs for the Huskies when they won 15-11 in the fifth and deciding set of their match against Mercyhurst Prep.

Bailey Cannon, General McLane: Her 11 kills led the Lancers, who beat Grove City in four sets.

Aubrey Chase, Corry: Her 12 kills were the most for the Beavers when they swept Seneca 25-14, 25-23, 26-24.

Lucy Higley, Union City: She led the Bears in kills (11) when they defeated Northwestern in three sets.

Michayla Magee, Union City: She had a double-double with 17 assists and 13 digs and also recorded three blocked shots when the Bears beat Girard in four sets.

Addica Sperry, Mercyhurst Prep: Her 10 kills and 11 digs helped the Lakers sweep Seneca 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.

Macy Testa, McDowell: She contributed 18 kills, six aces and eight digs during the Trojans' three-set sweep of Hickory.

Cadence Jones, North East: Her 21 kills and seven digs highlighted the Grapepickers' four-set victory against Harbor Creek.

Kayleigh Anderson, Fort LeBoeuf: She totaled 14 kills when the Bison swept Northwestern.

Julia Seth, Mercyhurst Prep: She served five aces and added another seven digs and 24 assists from the Lakers' backcourt during their three-set sweep of Girard.

Ava Guzowski, Seneca: She recorded seven kills, 11 digs and five assists for the Bobcats, who beat Northwestern in three sets.

Alyssa Radtke, McDowell: Her triple-double (10 kills, 10 digs, 21 assists) was notable for the Trojans when they beat rival Cathedral Prep in five sets.

Cathryn Reynolds, Union City: She was an all-around contributor for the Bears (six kills, seven digs and five aces) when they swept Iroquois 25-18, 25-11, 25-11.

Boys cross country

Luke Brown, Cathedral Prep: His ninth-place time of 15 minutes 10.90 seconds was the fastest of any Rambler who competed in the 3-mile race at New York's McQuaid Invitational.

Jude Hayes, Fairview: He posted the fastest time (16:35) for a dual between the victorious Tigers and Girard.

Zach Beckwith, Union City: His time of 18:41 was the fastest for a dual between the Bears and Youngsville.

Girls cross country

Sydney Bayle, General McLane girls cross country: She finished seventh (19:10.90) in the McQuaid Invitational's 3-mile event.

Sarah Clark, Cathedral Prep: She finished ninth overall (18:08.20) in the 3-mile race at the McQuaid Invitational in Rochester, New York.

Isabel Owens, Fairview: Her time of 20:28 was the lowest when the Tigers beat Girard 18-48.

Ava Reagle, Union City: She posted a low time of 21:14 for a dual between the Bears and Youngsville.

Girls tennis

Tristan Righi, Erie High: Her three-set victory as the Royals' No. 3 single starter contributed to their 5-0 shutout of Conneaut (Ohio).

Lauren Richmond, Mercyhurst Prep: Her victory as the Lakers' No. 1 singles starter helped them beat Erie High 4-1.

Mackenzie Bruce, Erie High: The Royals' No. 3 singles starter rallied for a 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (10-8) victory during their dual with Mercyhurst Prep.

Vivian Liu, Fairview: The freshman's 6-1, 6-2 victory as the Tigers' No. 1 singles starter was vital to their 3-2 dual win over Cathedral Prep.

Sophia Glance, Cathedral Prep: Her 6-0, 6-0 as the Ramblers' No. 3 singles starter contributed to their 5-0 dual victory over Erie High.

Lina Warrier, McDowell: The Trojans' No. 2 singles starter rallied for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory, which helped them shut out Mercyhurst Prep 5-0.

Trinity Fox, Fairview: She won 6-0, 6-0 as the Tigers' No. 2 singles starter and also contributed to their 5-0 win against Warren.

Girls water polo

Mia Shaughnessy, Cathedral Prep: She led the Ramblers with four goals during their 14-2 win over Fairview.
