If the voters elect to move forward with Home Rule, what issues will you be looking to address in the charter first and foremost pertaining to the growth and future of Erie?: I believe government has one purpose, to protect individual, natural rights of citizens. For too long the Town of Erie and administration has been playing outside of its area of responsibility. As an active and engaged member of the community, I want to be part of the conversation that focuses on the proper role of a limited government should the ballot measure pass. I hope it does not. Read the job-killing ideas the Yes on Home Rule website suggest: a pollution tax, business/consumer use tax, computer software tax, occupation privilege tax. All under the banner of "local control."
