Erie police investigating shooting that wounded man on city's west side Thursday night
Erie police are investigating a shooting near a westside business on Thursday night that sent a 28-year-old man to the hospital for treatment.
The shooting was reported on Thursday at about 7:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West 18th Street. Police arrived to find the man with a gunshot wound and located shell casings near a business, Deputy Chief Rick Lorah said Friday.
The man went by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment. Information on his condition was not available Friday.
Officers held the area as a crime scene and attempted to speak to witnesses concerning the shooting, Lorah said. Police had no suspects Friday morning in the ongoing shooting investigation.
