Erin Andrews felt like ‘a loser’ after being fired from ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Erin Andrews is speaking up about her “Dancing with the Stars” exit.

During an interview on the “Token CEO” podcast, the sportscaster, who was a co-host of the popular ABC competition dance series alongside Tom Bergeron since 2014, dished on how she found out she would not continue her role into Season 29.

The 42-year-old television veteran said she was on a putting green with her husband, Jarret Stoll, when she received the news and “didn’t have much time to deal with it.”

“I got a call that said, ‘You know, so-and-so from ABC wants to talk to you,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, s---, this is it,’” Andrews recalled to host Erika Nardini. “You know, I felt sorry for myself and I kind of felt like this was a terrible time to lose a job because we don’t know when live television is coming back… these are hard jobs to get.”

“I was like, ’Oh, no. I’m a loser. This is really bad,” she confessed.

Both Andrews and Bergeron, who has hosted the show since its start, were fired from the ballroom dancing competition show in July.

Shortly after, supermodel Tyra Banks was announced as the new host and executive producer of the show.

Despite being “relieved from [her] ‘Dancing with the Stars’ duties,” Andrews feels that there is “something on the horizon” with her newly acquired free time.

“I’m definitely working my people to find something and put something on the horizon,” the Lewiston, Maine, native explained. “I really enjoyed being in that space and I think I’m somebody that, as much as I do love sports, I’m a fan of a lot of things, [including] reality TV. I’m just a fan of TV.”

Currently promoting her Wear fashion line, she revealed the job that Elizabeth Banks has as host of the game show “Press Your Luck” is her dream job.

Andrews, who was awarded a $55 million settlement in a nude video lawsuit against Marriott Hotels in 2016, also would love to do a talk show with Kevin Hart and has spoken to him about it.

“We mesh and we are also so different in so many ways... I think that would work so well with Kevin Hart making fun of me,” she added. “I just think I’m a different demographic of what’s out there now.”
