ERNEST, 38 Special: Here's the latest concert lineup for the New York State Fair

The New York State Fair has announced several new artists coming to their concert series next month.

The latest additions to the state fair's lineup include rising country music singer/songwriter ERNEST, Southern rockers 38 Special and 80s hair band Great White, according to announcements from the fair. The state fair begins Wednesday, Aug. 24, and runs until Monday, Sept. 5.

ERNEST, who released his full-length debut album Flower Shops: The Album earlier this year, will play 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, on the Chevy Court stage. State Fair interim Director Sean Hennessey said the fair loves seeing new artists debut there.

"ERNEST has written songs for stars such as Kane Brown, Chris Lane and Sam Hunt and now he's on tour performing his own compositions," Hennessey said in a statement from the fair. "He's a talent to watch and I know this will be a terrific night of music."

Southern rockers 38 Special and 80s rock band Great White are both return acts for the state fair. 38 Special, known for songs such as "Caught Up In You," will perform 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, on the Chevy Court stage. They last performed at the fair in 2019.

Great White, known for songs such as "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and "Rock Me," returns to the fair 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, on the Chevy Court stage.
