Errors plague L-S baseball in loss to Albia

Jun. 10—SULLY — Lynnville-Sully's baseball team was held to four hits and committed seven errors during a 5-1 loss to Albia on Tuesday.

Corder Noun Harder had one hit, scored the team's lone run, walked once, was hit a pitch and stole three bases in the game, but Albia scored three runs in the fourth to pull away on the road.

The Blue Demons (6-5) had six hits and committed just one error in the win.

Conner Maston, Mason Jansen and Lannon Montgomery all finished with one hit and Payton Van Wyk was hit by a pitch for the Hawks (6-4).

Van Wyk pitched 3 2/3 innings and took the loss after allowing four runs — none earned — on four hits with two strikeouts and four walks.

Montgomery tossed 3 1/3 innings and allowed one run — zero earned — on one hit with two strikeouts.
