All-ESD Football: Two Watertown, three Aberdeen Central players picked

Two players from Watertown and three from Aberdeen Central have been selected to the 2022 All-Eastern South Dakota Conference football team.

Junior running back Juven Hudson and senior offensive lineman Chase Crocker received the honor for Watertown. Hudson rushed for 1,204 yards and 11 touchdowns this fall, running behind an offensive line led by Crocker.

Aberdeen Central's selections include senior running back Karson Carda, senior offensive lineman Jacob Krenz and senior defensive lineman Brian Johnson.

All-Lake Central Conference Volleyball

Three players from conference champion Hamlin have been named to the 2022 All-Lake Central Conference volleyball team.

Seniors Ally Abraham and Kami Wadsworth are repeat selections and freshman Addie Neuendorf also earned all-league honors for Hamlin, which won the league with a 6-0 record.

Other repeat selections are senior Mackenzie Everson and junior Gracie Haug of Castlewood and seniors Cori Birkel and Jada Burke of De Smet.

Rounding out the squad are junior Presley Knecht of Castlewood, sophomores Adison Renkly and Kaedyn Sapp of Sioux valley, juniors Lizzie Pavlis and Claire Sheppard of Flandreau, junior Haylee Tormanen and sophomore Shay Michalski of Clark-Willow Lake and juniors Josie Andersen and Annika Kriz of Deuel.

Final LCC Standings: 1. Hamlin, 6-0; 2. Castlewood, 5-1; 3. Sioux Valley, 4-2; 4. Flandreau, 3-3; 5. (Tie) Clark-Willow Lake, De Smet and Deuel each 1-5.
