ESPN: Pirates attendance near bottom of the league

Have you seen what’s been going on with the Pittsburgh Pirates?

If ESPN’s attendance rankings are accurate, you probably haven’t.

The sports media company released its current 2022 rankings and, through 62 home games, the Pirates rank 26th in the league in attendance.

With just 30 teams in the league, the Pirates were ahead of just Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Miami and Oakland.

According to the rankings, Pittsburgh has seen just over a million fans this season. Through 61 games, the league-leading Los Angeles Dodgers have hosted almost 3 million fans.
