ESPN VP on SEC Network’s hiring of Aaron Murray
Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has landed a new job.
Murray has been hired by ESPN, where he will call games for the SEC Network in addition to making studio appearances, per an ESPN Press Release.

Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, the SEC’s all-time leader in career passing touchdowns, also joins ESPN’s analyst roster this season and will call a handful of games on SEC Network in addition to studio appearances.
Murray had previously been working for CBS Sports Network, commentating games and providing analysis.
Steve Ackels, ESPN’s vice president of event production, commented on the hiring:
“Aaron has been on our radar for yours through his work on television and radio. We look forward to having him join our team and contribute across our networks.”

Murray played quarterback for the Bulldogs from 2010-13 and holds nearly all of the Georgia and SEC passing records.
Throughout his four season as the Georgia starter, he led his team to a 36-18 record. But for Murray, it was all about his outstanding numbers. In his career he had 921 completions on 1,478 attempts (62.3%) for 13,166 yards, and 121 touchdowns, all of which are Georgia and SEC records.
