ESPN's 'College GameDay' will be live from Alabama football at Texas next weekend

Alabama football will make its 53rd appearance on ESPN's "College Gameday" when the show travels to Austin, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 10, for its Week 2 edition.

The show announced the venue Saturday night on Twitter. It was also mentioned during the broadcast of the Alabama-Utah State game.

Alabama shut out Utah State 55-0 in its opener. Texas was leading Louisiana Monroe 52-3 late in the fourth quarter.

Texas is coached by former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns are coming off a 5-7 season but brought in transfers, including quarterback Quinn Ewers.

The show is highlighted by personalities of Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Alabama graduate Rece Davis. Corso makes his mascot headgear pick at the end of the show.

Alabama is 34-18 in games that attended by "College GameDay." The 53 appearances are second to Ohio State (54) according to NCAA.com.
