“Russia has prepared for a long confrontation and so must we,” she wrote.

Kallas called on NATO countries to increase defense spending to above the current standard of 2% of GDP.
“Estonia has increased its defense budget significantly, it will reach 3% of GDP by 2024,” she added.
“2% of GDP on defense spending must be the floor, not the ceiling.”

On March 21, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg presented NATO's annual report, in which he outlined the steps the alliance took to respond to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
