Here are Gadsden area high school football top performers from Week 8 action and top performances from other sports from the second week of October:

Football

Friday

Collinsville's Gavin Lang caught four passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-42 win over Westminster

Collinsville's Keaton Deboard rushed for 232 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries.

Collinsville's Mason MacAteer completed 66% of his passes for 171 yards and four touchdowns.

Etowah's Briggs Freeman rushed for 50 yards and one touchdowns on nine carries in a 45-42 loss to Cherokee County.

Etowah's Trace Thompson completed 64% of his passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns.

Etowah's Omareon Finch caught 10 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Gadsden City's Luke Waldrop completed 60% of his passes for 67 yards and one touchdown in a 55-0 over Lee.

Gadsden City's Clyde Curry caught two passes for 48 yards and two touchdowns.

Gadsden City's TJ Worthy rushed for 122 yards and one touchdown on four carries.

Geraldine's Jaxon Colvin passed for 110 yards and one touchdown in a 42-16 loss to Piedmont. Colvin also recorded a sack and a fumble recovery.

Geraldine's Carlos Mann recorded eight tackles.

Geraldine's Cody Satterfield caught three passes for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Southside's Jordan Bryan caught five passes for 85 yards and one touchdown in a 54-47 loss to Alexandria.

Southside's Gauge Nesmith completed 62% of his passes for 269 yards and four touchdowns. Nesmith also rushed for 140 yards and one touchdown.

Arab's Grace Gosoline ran 18:57.72 to win the Dew It On The Trails.

Fort Payne's Anahi Barboza crossed the finish line in 18:54.83 to win the Springville Open Cross Country Meet.

Glencoe's Katie Giles won the Etowah County Championship with a time of 20:52.70.

Indian Springs' Elisa Picard finished first at the Helena Invitational with a time of 19:41.13.

Muscle Shoals' Mary Anna Trimble clocked 18:54.58 to win the James Clemens Under the Lights Cross Country Festival.

Oxford's Katie Keur ran 18:35.47 to win theHay of a Run at Fairview Town Park.

Phenix City's Abigail Garner won her second straight individual victory with a time of 19:44.82 to claim the Smiths Station Panther Invitational title

White Plains' Maddyn Conn clocked in at 19:09.67 to win the Wing and Prayer at Golden Springs Trail.
