Yahoo Finance’s Ines Ferre breaks down Etsy’s third quarter earnings.

ADAM SHAPIRO: Bring in Ines Ferre. Etsy shares are down slightly in the post market. What are they reporting?

INES FERRE: And Adam, Etsy reporting third quarter revenue coming in at $532 million. That beat the Wall Street consensus of $519 million. Meanwhile, its third quarter earnings per share came in at $0.62 versus $0.70 year over year. Also taking a look at its third quarter gross merchandise sales, that came in at $3.11 billion. That was a beat. Its fourth quarter gross merchandise sales forecast coming in anywhere between $3.9 billion to $4.1 billion. That beat Wall Street estimates.

And also its fourth quarter revenue outlook, that also beat Wall Street estimates. Actually, that coming in at $660 million to $690 million versus estimates of $691 million-- excuse me. So the fourth quarter. revenue outlook just shy of what the Street has been expecting. Keep in mind that this company is facing tough comps from the third quarter of last year when everyone was at home. They were shopping. Year to date, the stock is up 34% in afterhours.
