Euclid Middle School student with gun arrested: I-Team

EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) – Euclid police and Euclid City Schools officials are investigating after a middle school student brought a firearm to school Wednesday.

School officials released a statement saying a staff member observed the student avoiding a weapons detection system and notified administrators and the department of public safety personnel that the student needed to be searched.

“Please remember that if you see something, say something to a trusted adult or call the Anonymous Safety HelpLine at (216) 797-STOP (7867),” the statement said.

Police say they will have additional information on the matter soon.
