Eugene 7-Eleven employee dies after being shot early Saturday

A 32-year-old Eugene man is dead after a shooting at a 7-Eleven near Broadway and Patterson Street early Saturday morning.

Eugene Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around 2:30 a.m., where they found a victim located inside of the 7-Eleven with life-threatening injuries.

The victim was identified as Stephen Anthony Forrest, who was working at the 7-Eleven at 590 E Broadway when he was shot.

Forrest was rushed to a nearby hospital and died Monday, police said.

A person-of-interest has been identified and remains outstanding, according to Eugene Police Department.
