Eureka Springs named best romantic getaway in Arkansas

EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Valentine’s Day is just around the corner on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

If you have not made plans for the holiday yet, Eureka Springs might be perfect for a romantic getaway, according to a recent article by Thrillist.

The city offers a variety of culture, dining and shopping nestled in the hills of Northwest Arkansas.

“Between the jazzy music scene, the haunted hotels with serious Overlook vibes, the majestic Victorian architecture, and the quirky shops slinging everything from sequined jackets to healing gemstones, Eureka Springs feels like a mini New Orleans in the Ozarks—minus the swaths of tourists, steep hotel prices, and Mardi Gras melee,” according to the article.

The small Arkansas town is also home to rooftop bars, boutique leather shops and plenty of restaurants to keep you busy.

A new hotel, called New Orleans, was recently built featuring authentic Vieux Carrés and Sazarecs.
