A new bistro has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Greenpoint, called Kaskade, is located at 123 Greenpoint Ave.

The restaurant offers a menu of fusion-style dishes inspired by modern European and American cuisine. Check out starters like the kale Caesar salad with lemon gremolata, the chicken wontons with honey soy sauce, and the salmon tacos with Sriracha truffle aioli.

Larger plates include an assortment of burgers and entrees like Polish potato pancakes with beef stew, slow-cooked barbecue ribs and lemon-herb branzino. Beer and wine are also served, and on the weekends, the restaurant offers a 90-minute Boozy Brunch.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival is on its way to developing a local fan base.
