Pressure is building on Theresa May after Andrea Leadsom dramatically quit the government over the Prime Minister's Brexit deal.
Mrs Leadsom, who was Leader of the House of Commons, announced her resignation this evening, saying she no longer believes in the government's approach to Brexit.
It came on a day of high drama in Westminster, with Mrs May facing repeated calls to quit or face being ousted over her last-ditch effort to push through a bill.
The Prime Minister survived a meeting of the 1922 Committee executive - who met to discuss a potential change in rules so she could be sacked - but is due to meet chairman Sir Graham Brady on Friday, after voters take to the polls in the European elections.
