Eva Longoria volunteered with World Central Kitchen in San Antonio, Texas, on February 22 to prepare meals for residents impacted by the winter storm that hit the state a week earlier.
World Central Kitchen is a food-based disaster response organization that helps “recover and establish” food supply in regions impacted by a crisis, according to its website. World Central Kitchen said its teams had already distributed “tens of thousands” of meals to residents across Texas, including in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Dallas.

EVA LONGORIA: Hi, everybody. We're here in San Antonio, Texas, getting the meals ready with for World Central Kitchen, about to deliver some meals. Dan's here with Lisa from Teka Molino, who has donated meals to the residents of San Antonio. Many residents are participating, so we're getting all the food ready, and we're going to distribute it in a short while to people who have been affected by the freeze that happened in Texas. So thank you, Lisa.
- Of course.
EVA LONGORIA: Thank you, Teka Molino, of course World Central Kitchen. The work you're doing is amazing.
