Evacuations Extended as Northern California's Mosquito Fire Grows Beyond 14,000 Acres

Fire crews worked to contain a fast-moving wildfire in Northern California, amid high temperatures in the area on Friday, September 9.

Timelapse footage captured by ALERTWildfire shows the Mosquito fire burning overnight into Friday morning in El Dorado County.

On Wednesday, evacuation orders were issued to residents in Placer County, and were extended to residents in El Dorado County after the fire continued to spread on Thursday, local media said.
