Evacuations as Orange County Wildfire 'Explodes' in Size

A wildfire in Orange County’s Silverado Canyon, named the Bond Fire, grew to 1,500 acres and prompted evacuations on the night of December 2-3, the local fire authority said.

The blaze began with a house fire, and was threatening structures in Silverado Canyon and Williams Canyon. More than 240 firefighters were on hand, the Orange County Fire Authority said.
