Evan couldn't outfox four city of Abilene employees Tuesday morning
The Brian Lies storybook character may be heavy but the guys were up to the task of carrying him to his new home at Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden.
There, on the north end, he will reside, offering to share his ice cream cone with his dog.
The official unveiling and welcome of the characters from Lies' award-winning picture book, "The Rough Patch," will be at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, following the Storybook Parade on Cypress Street.
Those events launch the 11th Children's Art & Literacy Festival.
Lies' work is on exhibit at the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature. Lies will be signing copies of his work and leading workshops during his first visit to Abilene.
