Evan Rachel Wood details Marilyn Manson accusations in new documentary

Actress Evan Rachel Wood detailed abuse during her relationship with rock musician Marilyn Manson in a new documentary, USA Today reported.

In a documentary called "Phoenix Rising - Part I: Don't Fall," Wood, 34, recounts a tumultuous relationship with Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner.

The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday and will premiere on HBO later this year, according to USA Today.

"I went to [director Amy Berg] very desperate to be heard and for this story to be told and for people to finally pay attention to what we've been saying and how serious it is," Wood said in a Q&A following her film's premiere. "My story is not unique."

Wood also recounted a simulated sex scene for Manson's music video for his song "Heart-Shaped Glasses" when she was 19 years old.

"I was coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretenses," Wood said in the documentary. "That's when the first crime was committed against me, and I was essentially raped on camera."

Wood publicly called out Manson for physical and sexual abuse during their relationship in an Instagram post last year.

USA Today noted that filmmakers contacted Manson for the documentary but that he did not respond to specific allegations. A statement by his lawyers included in the film says the musician "vehemently denies any and all claims of sexual assault or abuse of anyone."

Multiple women have accused the "Beautiful People" singer of physical and sexual abuse, with some accusers already filing lawsuits against him, USA Today noted.
