Red & White Christmas Brunch

The 7Mile Lounge will host a Red & White Christmas Brunch on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with food by Peace4U catering. On the menu will be an omelet station, garden salad, French toast casserole, strawberry and peaches & cream cinnamon rolls, smoked beef sausage, steak & cheese baguettes, chicken wellington, green beans, roasted red potatoes, and a white chocolate peppermint martini.

Tickets are $60 per couple or $35 for a single. Must be 25 to attend.

Big Green Egg cooking class

Bassemier's Fireplace, Patio & Spas will host a Stuffed Florentine Chicken on the Egg cooking class on Wednesday, Dec 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. On the menu are Stuffed Florentine chicken breasts, bacon-wrapped cheeseburger skewers, and Mexican street salsa.

Tickets are $45 for one person or $65 for two. Must purchase tickets ahead and have proof of purchase to attend.

Cookies with Mrs. Claus

Beachbum Farms Designs & Company will host Cookies with Mrs. Claus on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 11-11:45 a.m. Children 2 and up can bake cookies with Mrs. Claus and her elves. Registration is required.

Cost is $10 per child. An adult must be present with each child during the entire event. Call 270-577-1996 to register.

DiLegge's booking parties and carry-out for Christmas

DiLegge's Italian Restaurant and Banquet Room may be closed to walk-in dining but is still taking reservations for holiday parties and to-go dishes. Half size and full pans of favorite dishes and quarts of sauce may be ordered by calling Dan DiLegge at 812-449-9864 to schedule pick up or delivery.

Christmas dinner and cookie exchange at Evansville church

The First Baptist Church will host a Christmas Hymn Sing, free Christmas dinner and cookie exchange on Sunday, Dec. 17, beginning at 4 p.m. The dinner is provided, but bring a dozen cookies to share. RSVP by e-mailing firstbaptistchurch@fbcevansville.org by Thursday, Dec. 14, with your name and number of guests so the church can order enough food.

Brewery continues Merry & Bright pop up series

The Haynie's Corner Brewing Co. has brought back its annual Merry & Bright pop up series. Each Monday through Dec. 18, themed taproom décor will be changed, and a special guest bartender will be serving a one-time specialty cocktail menu. On Dec. 11, a Hannukah themed party will feature dreidel games, a bottle menorah, and mixology by Drew Maurer and Amanda Banks of Johnson Brothers. There is no cover charge. Must be 21.

Christmas cookie baking and decorating in Henderson

The Henderson County Extension will offer Christmas cookie baking and decorating, and ornament decorating on Wednesday, Dec. 13, beginning at 5 p.m. Call the office for more information and to sign up.

Taste of Christmas event in Henderson

The Lumber Yard Event Center at Firedome Pizza and Wings will host Taste of Christmas on Monday, Dec. 11, from 6-8 p.m. Up to 20 local chefs, brewers and winemakers will offer tastings of their specialties, including many created just for this event. Proceeds support the Volunteer & Information Center of Henderson.

Tickets are $40. Food, beer and wine tastings are included in the price. Firedome Pizza and Wings will offer a cash bar.

Holiday Shop n' Sip

Myriad Brewing Company in Downtown Evansville will host its third annual Holiday Shop n’ Sip event inside the lobby of the McCurdy building on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2-5 p.m. Shop local vendors and enjoy holiday cocktails, beer and wine, a food truck and live music.

Breakfast for a cause

The New Beginnings Missionary Church in Henderson, Ky., will host a Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 8-11 a.m. on the menu will be all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and eggs with milk, juice and coffee. Adult tickets are $10 and kids 12 and under are $5, and tickets include an edited digital photo with Santa. Proceeds benefit the church and New Beginnings Christian Academy.

Bourbon tasting dinner

Prime Time Pub & Grill in Newburgh will host a Bourbon Tasting Dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. Five small plates will be prepared to match five tastings of Bourbon from Starlight Distillery in Borden, Ind. Call the restaurant to purchase a ticket at $55, or save $5 if you purchase when you dine in at Prime Time.

Popular diner adds hours

Waylon’s Diner on Main, the popular down-home diner that has been open for just over a year on North Main Street, is now open for dinner on Friday evenings from 4-8 p.m., serving breakfast foods, burgers, catfish and the original recipe Roadfood Fried Chicken from the Bon-Ton Mini Mart.

Breakfast with Santa

Pay it Forward at The Westside Community Center will host Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Enjoy breakfast, make Christmas crafts, decorate Christmas cookies, take pictures with Santa from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and get free wrapping paper and gift bags while supplies last. The event is free of charge.
