New extreme milkshakes in Newburgh

The Burgh House at the Showplace Cinemas in Newburgh is now offering extreme summer milkshakes. They arrive in a chilly pint glass jar with a handle. Flavors include chocolate fudge brownie, cotton candy, espresso and Oreo cookies. All are garnished with goodies such as chocolate chips, chunks and syrup, cotton candy, whipped cream, cookies and more. They are priced at $9.95.

New Pizza Revolution bus

The Pizza Revolution has debuted a second double decker red bus, so now we have twice the opportunities to enjoy wood-fired pizza at local events and food truck gatherings. The new bus is equipped with a raiseable roof so diners on the upper level can get fresh air while being protected from sun and rain.

Find The Pizza Revolution at Food Trucks at Farm 57 on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, and check out the Facebook page for more times and dates of service.

New Roca Bar building opening

The Roca Bar will be reopening in its new building in Washington Plaza on Monday, May  15. The large restaurant will seat 180 with a further 40 seats on the patio and will soon be opening for breakfast. The famous pizza, sandwich and salad recipes will all stay the same.

The new Roca Bar will be at 4600 Washington Ave.

Strawberries are in!

These are the local farms where you may get fresh berries grown on-site. The season is just beginning, quantities are not yet at their fullest and not all farms are offering U-pick. It's best to check Facebook pages (we linked for you) and call all locations ahead of a visit to check hours and make sure berries are available.

Fudgy food truck

Three Chicks Fudgery from Mount Vernon has a food truck that will be plying the streets of Evansville this summer. In addition to Three Chicks fudge, the truck will offer coffee drinks, smoothies, and mini doughnuts in flavors including cinnamon bun, maple and chocolate. Watch the Facebook page for locations and times of service.

Wine education series at The Rathbone

The Wine Vault and Wine-Oh! Tours and Events are beginning an Unlocking the Vault wine education series on Thursday, May 18, at The Rathbone library. This first session will inform participants on how the region where a wine is grown changes its characteristics. Six wines will be sampled with cheese. Tickets are $45 per person.

A new place to find JB's Barnyard ice cream

Zap’s Tavern now has ice cream from the JB’s Barnyard truck, which is sourced from the Chaney's Dairy Barn in Bowling Green. Flavors include birthday cake, Bourbon trail, caramel pralines, strawberry cheesecake, wild cherry, Cookie Monster, Moo Blue, peanut butter and Wow Now Brownie Cow.
