Bud's on Franklin celebrates St. Patrick's Day

Bud's Rockin' Country Bar & Grill will be serving a special Irish menu Thursday, March 16 - Saturday, March 18, with Irish nachos (fresh-fried potatoes, Swiss cheese, cheese curds, pastrami, kraut and Russian dressing); Irish seafood chowder, Reuben eggrolls, an Irish Mafia sandwich with corned beef and cabbage on a pretzel bun, a giant Reuben sandwich, Guinness beef stew and Irish Car Bomb bread pudding.

New Mexican restaurant opens Downtown

La Mexicana Mexican restaurant is now open in Downtown Evansville. The menu contains Mexican-American favorites such as chicken on the beach, fries with queso and chorizo, and nachos. There are also some authentic Mexican specialties such as street tacos, torta sandwiches, and aguas frescas.

Food truck out and about with St. Patrick's Day menu

Pappa Bear’s Catering will be offering a special St. Patrick's Day menu from Wednesday, March 15 through Friday, March 17. Find the truck on Wednesday, March 15, at the Dollar General at 1015 E Mt. Pleasant Road from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and at Myriad Brewing Company's Newburgh taproom from 4:30-8 p.m. or until sold out; on Thursday, March 16, at the Be Happy Pie Company from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and at Myriad’s Newburgh taproom from 4:30-8 p.m. or until sold out; and on Friday, March 17, at the AT&T Call Center at 5101 Vogel Road from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and at Myriad’s Downtown Evansville brewery from 4:30-8 p.m. or until sold out.

On the menu will be corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes, Shepard's pie, a kraut burger and a reuben sandwich with side choices of cabbage, twice baked potato casserole, potato salad and more. On Friday, enjoy Irish shrimp tacos. At the Myriad taprooms, enjoy the food with a new Irish red and green 812 cream ale.

St. Clement fish fry in Boonville

St. Clement Parish in Boonville, Indiana, will hold a fish fry every Friday in Lent through March 31, in the St. Clement Social Hall, from 4:30-7 p.m. On the menu are fried or baked fish fillets, cornbread, slaw, sides including choices of potato salad, green beans, baked beans or macaroni and cheese, a dessert and beverage. The cost is $15 for adults, $6 for kids 12 and under. Dine in or carry-out meals are available.

St. John the Baptist fish fry in Newburgh

St. John the Baptist Parish of Newburgh will hold a fish fry every Friday in Lent through March 31, from 4-7 p.m. or until sold out. On the menu are fried or grilled fish or cheese pizza, rotating sides including baked potatoes or potato salad, macaroni and cheese, green beans, slaw, cornbread and dessert. Prices are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12, and ages 3 and younger free.

St. Joe in the County fish fry

St. Joseph Parish in Vanderburgh County will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 17, from 5-7 p.m. On the menu are fish fillets, German potato salad, baked beans, slaw and cornbread. Price is $14 per person.

New Italian restaurant in Henderson

Tavola Dei Nonna Italian Restaurant is open in Henderson, Kentucky. On the menu are Italian specialties such as polpette gigante (giant meatballs) in tomato sauce with spaghetti; chicken cacciatore, parmigiana or marsala with pasta; toasted ravioli; classic lasagna; Bolognese sauce with pasta and more.

It's at 2044 U.S. 41 in Henderson.

Mediterranean wine tasting dinner

The Wine Vault and Venue 812 will co-host a Mediterranean Experience wine dinner on Monday, March 20, at 5:30 p.m. at Venue 812.

On the menu are a Mediterranean cheese and tapas board, lentil and rice soup, Greek salad, Moroccan lamb rizotto and Mediterranean chicken kebobs with couscous, and chocolate chip cannoli and baklava, each course paired with a wine. Tickets are $75.

Note The Wine Vault is also carrying Azzip Pizza’s March Madness Crab Rangoon March Crabness cream cheese dip.

Irish menu at Mount Vernon sports restaurant

The Zone by MaryScott's in Mount Vernon will offer an Irish menu this Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18, in honor of St. Patrick's Day. On offer will be Scotch eggs, Shepherd's pie with beef, beef and Guinness stew, corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, Guinness cake and Kahlua brownies with Irish Creanm frosting. Look for specials on Guinness pints, Jameson Shots and Baby Guinness (Irish Cream and Kahlua).
