The First Assembly of God church in Henderson, Kentucky, will be selling burgoo on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 1-2:30 p.m. Each gallon is $25. You may order ahead by purchasing a ticket here on Eventbrite. Proceeds go to help Henderson Teen Challenge.

Halloween cookie decorating

A Halloween Cookie Decorating Class by That's Good Schmidt Cookies and Cupcakes at the West Side Community Center on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 2-4 p.m. Space is limited to 25. Recommended age 15 years and older. Tickets are $48 per person.

The West Side Community Center is inside St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 2227 W. Michigan St.

New mobile food pantry

The Junior League of Evansville is introducing a mobile food pantry truck called the Neighborhood Food Market. After October 16, the truck will be making fresh food available to the people in Evansville who need it most. Chili cook fundraiser at local bar and grill

Leroy's Tavern will host the Monsters & Motorcycles: Chili for Heroes fundraiser for the Blue Knights KY IX on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Blue Knights are an organization of active and retired law officers who work to help the families of fallen officers, officers in need, the Fraternal Order of Police, children's camps and the Highland Challenger Baseball League. Chili will be $5 per bowl and $10 per quart. Burgers will be available for $5.

Grill & Chill Open House

The Muslim Association of Southern Indiana for Health Advancement (MASIHA) will host an open house and Grill & Chill Family Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 22, from Noon until 4 p.m. at the MASIHA Free Specialty Clinic. Stop in to learn about MASIHA and enjoy free food, free games and prizes.

Artisan market with food trucks, beer garden

The NoCo Makers Market will happen on Sunday, Oct. 16, on Carpenter St., between Second and Third Streets in Downtown Evansville. Look for over 40 artisans with their wares, food trucks, a beer garden by Myriad brewery, pumpkins, kids' activities and more.

New ethnic market in Evansville

Food truck moving to permanent location

Two Farmers Burgers and Beignets has announced they will no longer be operating a food truck in 2023. Instead, they will move into a brick and mortar location in Mount Carmel, Illinois, where they will be serving their locally famous thin and crisp smash burgers, fries, and ice cream.

Eat, Drink & be Scary

Willard Library will host Eat, Drink & Be Scary on Friday, Oct. 28, from 4-10 p.m. Stop for food trucks, a beer garden, trick-or-treating, a costume contest. and showings of Hocus Pocus and Psycho. Movies and Trick-or-treating are free. Bring your own chairs or blankets for movie watching. The beer garden is for those 21 and over.

World Food Day will be celebrated by Feed Evansville at the CK Newsome Center on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 2-6 p.m. Bring canned and non-perishable foods to donate to the food drive and talk to local farmers, enjoy food trucks, bounce houses and kids' activities, and more.

Chili Cook-Off in Newburgh

The Zion United Church of Christ in Newburgh will host its annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 4:30-:30 p.m. Bring your best chile recipe to share with all the fixings and see who wins.
