Tenth location for local doughnut chain opens
The Donut Bank has opened its newest restaurant on Evansville's West Side. This is the 10th location for the Evansville-based bakery, doughnut and coffee shop.
The Donut Bank on the West Side is at 4800 Lloyd Expressway.

Mexican grocery opens separate restaurant on Green River Road
El Paisano Tienda y Taqueria has opened a new El Paisano restaurant down the street from the store, in the former Wok N Roll building on South Green River Road. On the menu are authentic Mexican street tacos, quesabirria tacos, tortas, arrachera and more, and also some Tex-Mex favorites such as chimichangas and nachos.
El Paisano's new restaurant is at 311 S. Green River Road; 812-602-3535.
Buy homemade Christmas candy, support youth group activities
The Full Gospel Mission Youth Group will be holding their annual Christmas Candy Fundraiser on Sunday, Dec. 18, from 12-1 p.m. Many types of homemade Christmas treats and platters will be available for purchase for your Christmas parties and gatherings. Cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp or Apple Pay accepted. All proceeds and tips benefit the youth group.

Holiday Shop n' Sip at the McCurdy
The Myriad Brewing Company will host a Holiday Shop n' Sip on Saturday, Dec. 17, inside the McCurdy Hotel lobby. Shop local vendors for handmade goods, enjoy live music, and step inside Myriad for beer, wine and holiday cocktails or pop across the hall into Cosmos Bistro for an elegant snack or meal.
The McCurdy Hotel is at SOS S.E. First St.
Cookies with Santa
NOCO Park will present Cookies with Santa at Mount NOCO on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for kids and will include a cookies and milk kit from Al's Sweet Bakery, a digital photo with Santa, performance by Kait Madison, Gingerbread house decorating, letters to Santa, bounce house, and balloon garlands; tickets are $10 for adults and include and a drink of choice.

More cookies with Santa
The River City Eagles Aerie and Ausiliary #4023 will present Crafts and Cookies with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 1-3 p.m. Stop in for cookies, hot chocolate, bake sale, auction, pictures with santa and more. Entrance is $5 cash and all proceeds go to the Children's Fund.

New Thai restaurant coming to Evansville's North Side
Thai Orchids is a new Thai restaurant coming to Chase Plaza on Evansville's North Side at Highway 41 and Boonville New Harmony Road. No Opening date has been announced.
