The Winter series of Love Island is well and truly underway and, let's be honest, it wouldn't be Love Island without a good old dumping.

After already losing Ollie Williams in a dramatic exit just three days after arriving in South Africa, the Islanders have said their first official goodbye to one contestant during the recoupling. And yes, tears were shed.

Eve Gale, one half of the twins Jess and Eve, became the first Islander to be dumped from the villa on Friday night, after Nas Majeed chose Jess over her. Ouch.

The last to choose in the recoupling, Nas was left to pick between the twins, telling his fellow Islanders, "First and foremost, I would like to say this is a very difficult decision for me. I have gotten to know both Jess and Eve very well over the past week.

Nas continued, "However, I would like to couple up with this girl because I feel like I’ve spent slightly more time with her and gotten to know her a little bit better. So the girl I’d like to couple up with is Jess."

Eve and Jess hugged it out in a tearful goodbye, with Jess even offering to leave the villa alongside Eve. However, Eve persuaded Jess to stay, saying, "I wouldn't let you walk away with me. You've got to try it, you've got to see. There could be someone in here for you, you don't know. You can't let me hold you back."

The recoupling comes after two new boys, Finley Tapp and Connagh Howard entered the villa. Challenged to kiss a boy of her choice in the military game, Eve opted for Connagh, however he eventually coupled up with Sophie. Meanwhile, Eve was still getting to know Callum after she 'stole' him from Shaughna earlier in the week, but Callum chose to stay coupled up with Shaughna, leaving Eve to be dumped.

Mike and Leanne stayed together, obviously, while new boy Finley coupled up with Paige, and Connor chose Siânnise.

That's how the game works, guys! More dramz, guaranteed.

Love Island continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
