New Year’s Eve in Orlando: Ways to ring in 2024 in Central Florida

With another year nearly behind us, it’s time to reflect on all the highs and lows of the past year while turning our attention to 2024. Many Orlando-area venues provide spaces for revelers to drink and be merry before welcoming the new year.

Some venues are closing down streets for festive block parties, while bars and breweries offer specials and, in some cases, ticketed events.

While far from an exhaustive list, here are some ideas for celebrating the new year in Central Florida.

  • Thornton Park hosts its annual New Year’s Eve Street Party with DJs, jumbotrons, open bar tickets and six venues for partying. Online advance tickets start at $15 for general admission, $60 for open bar tickets and $90 for VIP access. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31 on E. Washington St. in Orlando.   • Wall Street Plaza in downtown Orlando hosts its annual block party with thousands of revelers spread throughout multiple venues. The street will feature live music and entertainment. A complimentary champagne toast is available at midnight. Tickets start at $20 for general admission, $60 for general admission with an open bar until midnight and $80 for an open bar all night.   • SAK Comedy Lab hosts several improv shows for New Year’s Eve guests. Enjoy all-ages shows at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 ($20 and $22 per ticket, respectively). Late-night visitors can see an NYE show ($27) at 10 p.m. Dec. 31, followed by a midnight champagne toast, at 29 S. Orange Ave. in Orlando. More information: sakcomedylab.com

  • Howl at the Moon Orlando brings lots of live entertainment to New Year’s Eve guests with open bar tickets available, dueling piano bar music and food available. Advance tickets are $75 per person for standing-room-only tickets with an open bar, while $150 per person tickets guarantee reserved seating and offer food, plus the open bar.   • German American Society of Central Florida hosts a Winter Wonderland-themed New Year’s Eve gala. Enjoy music from the Sonnenschnapps Duo, plus food, dancing and a champagne toast at midnight. Formal or cocktail attire is suggested for this all-ages event. Tickets start at $70 and range in price for members and non-members.   • Tori Tori on Mills Avenue will bring together the DOMU Dynasty for an evening of open bar drinks, light bites, a photo booth and a livestream of the ball drop from Times Square.   • Enzian brings a cinema-centric New Year’s Eve party to guests with a James Bond-themed soiree. A $100 Enzian gift card is up for grabs for the best costume.   • Aloma Bowl offers a way to roll into the new year with specials on games and nighttime fun with a DJ, party favors and a champagne toast.
