New Year’s Eve in Salisbury: Live music, a ball drop and much more downtown. All to know.

Head to downtown Salisbury on Sunday, Dec. 31, to ring in 2024 at the 10th annual New Year’s Eve SBY event.

Here's what's on tap for the big celebration.

A ball drop, live music and more for New Year's Eve in Salisbury

There will be a countdown to the ball drop, which will happen at midnight, with the free, all-ages event running from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The stage will be located near the Government Office Building on North Division Street.

Here's the live music schedule:

  • AMP Studio will perform from 9-9:45 p.m.

  • Uprizing will perform from 10-10:45 p.m.

  • Starlight Anthem will perform from 11:15-11:55 p.m. and after the ball drop until 12:30 a.m.

Trivia contest, specials at downtown restaurants, businesses

Attendees can participate in interactive multiple-choice trivia from 9:45-10 p.m. and 10:45-11 p.m., and wear their shiniest and sparkliest outfits in hopes of winning the new Salisbury’s Shining Star competition. There will also be a photo booth and an opportunity for attendees to write their new year’s resolution on a luminary bag.

Enjoy food and drinks on-site from Mad Hatter Café, and several downtown businesses will also be open late with specials, including Roadie Joe’s Bar & Grill, Brew River Restaurant & Bar, The Brick Room, Mogan’s Oyster House and Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles. Lurking Class Skate Shop will also host live music.

“Come out and celebrate the new year in downtown Salisbury,” said Chris Ford, events technical specialist for the city of Salisbury’s Arts, Business and Culture Department. “We’re excited for some great music and the new activities that are sure to get the audience involved.”
