EVENTS: Fall festivals in Enfield; turkey shoots in East Windsor

Oct. 27—The Enfield United Church of Christ, 1295 Enfield St., will hold a fall festival on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Trunk-or-treat cars will line the parking lot decorated for Halloween for children to get some candy in a safe space.

There also will be a bounce house, hot dogs, and more. All are welcome.

—Hazardville United Methodist Church, 330 Hazard Ave., Enfield, will hold its fall festival Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be indoor trick-or-treating, games for young and old, a catered lunch, face painting, and live music performance by the Just n Kase Band.

Turkey shoots

EAST WINDSOR — East Windsor Lions will have its major fundraiser, turkey shoots, every Sunday through Nov. 20 on Route 140, at 37 North Road.

Ticket sales start at 8:15 a.m. The target shooting will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or sooner, depending on the number of participants.

Tickets are $2.75 and more, depending on the round's prize. The prizes are frozen turkeys, hams, fresh beef roasts, cash, and gift certificates.

Guns and ammo are provided as part of the cost of the ticket.

Tag sale

Andover Congregational Church, 359 Route 6, will hold a huge tag sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A bag sale will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. For more information, call 860-716-4186.

Magic show

The Mary Cheney Library, 586 Main St., Manchester, will present the Danny Magic Family program on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The show is for kids and kids at heart.

Square dance

Modern Social Square Dancing by Rich Sbadella will hold its final dance of the season on Saturday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Blue Slope Country Museum, 138 Blue Hill Road, Franklin.

The cost is $10 per person, $8 for students, and $30 per a family.

Round, square, and line dances are included. No partner or experience are needed.

Dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes.
