EverQuote: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ EverQuote, Inc. (EVER) on Monday reported a loss of $3.8 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 14 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $97.3 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $91.8 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $11.2 million, or 41 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $346.9 million.

EverQuote shares have increased 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $44.53, a drop of slightly more than 1% in the last 12 months.
