From the MCU to the X-Men universe, Deadpool and beyond, Marvel comics have a hell of a lot of movies on their slate. So many that's it's tricky to actually keep track of what's coming when, who's directing, who's starring and who's the latest to get their own spin-off.
Worry not. Here's your chronological, easy-to-follow guide to every Marvel movie coming your way. And don't worry, we'll keep this updated so you can be sure it'll be topped up with the very latest news, as and when it's announced.
2020
The New Mutants release date April 10, 2020
Director: Josh Boone
Starring: James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy
Step aside, old mutants. Charles Xavier's newest class of teenage X-Men is on the way.
Black Widow release date May 1, 2020
Director: Cate Shortland
Starring: Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz.
The movie was announced at Comic-Con in July, and subsequently Johansson teased that Black Widow will see Natasha in a "dark place where she's got no one to call and nowhere to go". Ooooo.
Morbius, the Living Vampire release date July 31, 2020
Director: Daniel Espinosa
Starring: Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Jared Harris
Sony's third Spider-Man spin-off in development, featuring the tortured scientist turned vampire criminal/anti-hero.
The Eternals release date November 6, 2020
Director: Chloe Zhao
Starring: Richard Madden, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan as Sersi, and Kit Harington.
So far few details are known, which seems to be what Kevin Feige wants. "[We want to introduce] characters that the majority of the world has never heard of, much like Guardians, much like Avengers before we made Avengers. And there are lots of them," said Feige.
Black Panther 2 release date May 6, 2020
Director: Ryan Coogler
Starring: Unconfirmed but we will almost certainly see Chadwick Boseman, Winston Duke, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, and Angela Bassett return.
One of the only MCU Phase 5 movies to have a release date, fans are more than excited to head back to Wakanda.
2021
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings release date February 12, 2021
Director: Destin Daniel Cretton
Starring: Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Leung.
Like The Eternals, little is known about Shang-Chi, but the Ten Rings organisation is steeped deep in Marvel lore, so it's likely to have huge ramifications in the MCU Phase 4.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness release date May 7, 2021
Director: Scott Derrickson
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen
Though only two cast members have been confirmed, we'll likely see Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor returning, too.
Thor: Love and Thunder release date November 5, 2021
Director: Taika Waititi
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman
The fourth Thor movie will be feature the MCU's first openly LGBTQ+ superhero in Valkyrie, whom Thompson has already confirmed she played as bisexual. Yay, representation!
Unknown release dates
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Director: James Gunn
Starring: TBC (but probably the core Guardians cast)
This was all set for 2020 until James Gunn was fired by Disney and the threequel was left without a director, but now Gunn is surprisingly back as director. We'll have to wait a while for the movie though as he's working on The Suicide Squad first.
Venom 2
Director: Andy Serkis
Starring: Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson
A Venom sequel is happening whether you want it or not after the first movie was one of the biggest box office hits of 2018. Serkis has said it will be an "extraordinary piece of cinema" and he has "very clear ideas about what I want to see visually, and how we can take the characters to another dimension."

X-Force

Starring: Reynolds, Josh Brolin
Another X-Men spinoff starring the grimmer 'n' grittier black-ops version of the team.
Doctor Doom
Director: Noah Hawley
Starring: TBC
Hawley has revealed to Deadline in August that he's waiting on the go-ahead from Marvel, saying: "Whether or not they already have a plan in place for what to do with those characters or whether they're open to my kind of vision for what to do with those characters. But it's sort of on me right now to go push them, which I will do as soon as I come up for air."
Silver Surfer
Director: TBC
Starring: TBC
Doctor Doom isn't alone in getting a spin-off. Fantastic Four antagonist/ally the Silver Surfer is also getting the treatment from Saga and Runaways creator Brian K Vaughan.
Laura
Director: James Mangold
Starring: Dafne Keen
Logan director James Mangold is working with producer Hutch Parker to develop a sequel to Wolverine's 2017 swan song, starring his berserker daughter/clone, Laura/X-23.
Multiple Man
Director: TBC
Starring: James Franco, James Franco, James Franco
Spider-Man actor James Franco has been tapped for Fox's X-Men spin-off about the mutant Jamie Madrox, whose powers allow him to creates doubles (or 'dupes') of himself.
Kitty Pryde
Director: Tim Miller
Starring: TBC
The Deadpool director is teaming up with big-name Marvel Comics writer Brian Michael Bendis for the film about the (formerly) youngest X-Man.
Both Deadpool 3 and Ant-Man and the Wasp 3 are unconfirmed, but likely further down the pipeline.
