Here's a full list of NFL backup quarterbacks for 2021 originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Cleveland Browns quarterback Case Keenum will start on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos in place of Baker Mayfield, who was ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Keenum will make his first start since the 2019 season for the Washington Football Team. The nine-year pro has started 62 career regular season games over the course of his career.

With current Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski as his quarterbacks coach in 2017, Keenum compiled an 11-3 record as a starter and led Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship Game.

The veteran QB also spent the 2018 season as the starter in Denver.

Who is each NFL team’s backup quarterback?

There are six signal callers who have made at least one start after entering the 2021 season as a backup: Seattle's Geno Smith, Washington’s Taylor Heinicke, Houston’s Davis Mills, Miami’s Jacoby Brissett, Chicago’s Justin Fields and San Francisco’s Trey Lance. Keenum will be the seventh.
