The Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2) are headed to the 108th Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 2022 after the program accepted the bowl bid on Dec. 5.

Michigan, which won the Big Ten Championship Game on Dec. 4, was selected to the playoff.

Which means Ohio State heads to Pasadena.

And they'll play the champions of the PAC-12, the No. 11-ranked Utah Utes (10-3) for the first time in the "Granddaddy of them all." Utah beat Oregon in the PAC-12 Championship Game on Dec. 3.

It is Utah's first Rose Bowl game appearance.

Ohio State and Utah have played only once and not since 1986, when Ohio State beat the Utes 64-6. Utah and Ohio State do have a shared history of sorts, as former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer coached at Utah for two seasons in 2003 and 2004 before taking the Florida job.
