Everybody jump! Urban Air Adventure Park coming to Belden Village

JACKSON TWP. − Urban Air Adventure Park plans to open a complex in the Belden Village Mall area in March featuring climbing walls, go-karts and trampolines.

Urban Air announced it has signed a lease agreement to open a new indoor park and entertainment center in an existing building that will be renovated at 5544 Dressler Road NW. March is the target date for opening the 55,000-square-foot facility.

Urban Air says it's the largest indoor adventure park operator in the world.

Urban Air in Stark County will employ 60 people, the company said, adding that it will begin accepting applications soon.

The Jackson Township site will join other Urban Air locations in the Akron and Cleveland areas. Progress of "Urban Air North Canton" can be tracked on Facebook, the company said in a news release.

The company says it was created with a "higher purpose to help kids have fun while achieving activity goals that enhance their social and physical skills."

The Stark County location will include a Snapology, a partner for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) education initiatives, Urban Air said.
