Everyone on Twitter Agrees That Lizzo's New Album Is a Bop
If you've been foolishly sleeping on Lizzo, First of Her Name, Mistress of Flutes (and twerking), Snatcher of Wigs, Bop Star-I forgive you. But you can make up for it by starting with her viral flute videos ("HAVE U EVER SEEN A BITCH PLAY FLUTE THEN HIT THE SHOOT?") or any of her confidence-boosting bangers (see "Good as Hell" and "Boys").
Anyway, it's not too late to get on board the Lizzo train. On Friday, the singer and rapper released her highly anticipated album Cuz I Love You because...she loves us.
"3 YEARS HAVE BEEN LEADING UP TO THIS MOMENT RIGHT HERE," she captioned an Instagram post where she shared a photo of herself posing naked under a print of the album cover (in which she is also posing naked. Iconic!!). "IM CRYIN.... CUZ I LOVE YOU. ALBUM OUT. NOW." I'm not sure what we did to deserve Lizzo's album and Beyoncé's Netflix documentary and live album in the same week, but I'm extremely grateful.

Early singles set expectations high-"Juice" is a contagiously emphatic self-love pop hit, while the down-and-dirty "Tempo" (with an assist from Missy Elliot) will be summer dancefloor bait. The rest of Cuz I Love You's 11 tracks span from soulful to rock-goddessy, and the phrase "Big Dick Energy" even makes an appearance. Following the album's release, fire emojis began to flood Twitter timelines, as fans shared their favorite bops and their emotional reactions to Lizzo's major label debut. It also hit #1 on the iTunes chart.
