Hello and welcome to your daily dose of Kate Middleton news! Fans have been quick to comment on the Duchess of Cambridge's bravery in a new video shared on social media, showing her joining in with the Air Cadets and not only mountain biking through Lake Windermere, but also casually abseiling down some rocks. (Meanwhile, we're just over here wondering if we should bother getting out of PJs for a Zoom call...)

In the video, the Duchess also showed her sense of humour and joked, "What could go wrong?" ahead of hopping on a bike and joining in with the fellow cadets. After scaling the rock face, she also remarked that it was a "cool" experience.

"Acting member of the Air Cadets today! 🚴♀️ 🧗 Having re-opened the RAF Air Cadets’ Windermere Training Centre here in the lake district, The Duchess joined a group of Air Cadets to test the outdoor terrain!" the video of Kate's action-packed visit is captioned. "These outdoor activities, alongside various other trainings, allows them to build their confidence and leadership skills for future years."

Quick to praise Kate for getting stuck in and showing little fear (did we mention she abseiled?!), royal enthusiasts left plenty of comments underneath the short video shared on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official Instagram account.

"Looks like fun from afar for me. I’m not that brave, but yay for the Duchess!" one wrote, while another added, "That’s our #DuchessOfCambridge showing NO FEAR 💪🏼 She’s amazing! Sporty and love[s] the outdoors, just goes over the edge of a rock without blinking! 😂 Awesome!"

A third chimed in with, "Brave, kind and beautiful. Well done Duchess Catherine."

Many others remarked on how at ease Kate looked while getting stuck into the various activities, saying she certainly looked to be at home in the great outdoors– something Kate herself has commented on on numerous occasions, previously sharing that spending time in nature is important for her, Prince William and their children as family.

The Cambridges have also competed against one another in sporting challenges during many a public engagement (remember that time Kate raced against her husband while driving a land yacht?), and prior to becoming a royal, the Duchess and her father, Michael Middleton, even climbed a mountain together.

During an interview as part of her ambassadorship for Hoka One, Kate's sister Pippa revealed how fitness played a huge role in their upbringing, plus more on the sweet bonding trip between Kate and Michael.

In a blog post, Pippa said: "My parents inspired my love for walking in the mountains and both joined me and my brother [in 2008] to the first hut when we climbed Mont Blanc (my father summited it with my sister a few years before)."

While the exact date of Kate and Michael's epic trek wasn't revealed, we're still highly impressed.

Three cheers for the go-getting Duchess!
