Everything You Need to Know About David and Victoria Beckham’s 4 Kids

David Beckham is known as one of the most popular soccer players of all time and a fashion icon. However, there is another title the former footballer takes very seriously: dad.

Beckham, 48, and his wife, 49-year-old Victoria, a.k.a. Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, married in 1999 and are parents to four kids. The entire family recently attended the UK premiere of the Netflix docuseries Beckham, which provides a glimpse into David’s rise to soccer stardom and his relationship with his wife and children. “My biggest success & biggest love is my family... dad really loves you all more than you can imagine,” David wrote in a July 2023 Instagram post.

Ranging from ages 12 to 24, the Beckham children have already started to make a name for themselves in a number of ways similar to their parents, including in music, athletics, and modeling. Here’s what you need to know about the promising quartet.

Brooklyn Beckham

Brooklyn Joseph, the Beckhams’ oldest son at age 24, received his name partly because Victoria found out she was pregnant with him while in New York City in 1998. In addition to famous parents, he has a famous godfather: music legend Elton John.

According to People, Brooklyn played soccer throughout his childhood, even joining the Arsenal FC development program, but ultimately decided he didn’t want to pursue the sport as a career. Instead, he began modeling—appearing in publications like Man About Town magazine, as well as Vogue China and British Vogue—and became passionate about photography. He studied the craft in school, practiced by taking photos at his mother’s fashion shows, and even interned with British photographer David Sims. In 2018, Brooklyn released a photography book called What I See.

Brooklyn is married to Nicola Peltz, a 28-year-old actor and the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, founder of the Trian Fund Management investment firm. The couple went public with their relationship in January 2020 and exchanged vows in April 2022. Prior to that, Brooklyn had high-profile relationships with actor Chloë Grace Moretz and, reportedly, Sofia Richie and others.

Now, Brooklyn is an aspiring cook who has hosted his own Facebook Watch show Cookin’ with Brooklyn. “I would love to have my own pub. I would love to have my own sauces, knives, pots and pans. Not like a chef—I’m always going to be learning about cooking,” he told Variety in 2022.

Romeo Beckham

Taking after his dad, Romeo James, 21, is a professional soccer player. In 2022, he suited up for the development team of Inter Miami CF, the MLS squad co-owned by his father that made headlines earlier this year for signing World Cup champion Lionel Messi. After a successful season, he joined the B team of the English Premier League’s Brentford club on a loan in January 2023. Then in June, the team signed him to a full one-year deal.

Before committing to soccer, Romeo modeled growing up and focused on a tennis career. He trained with some of the top players in the world, including fellow Brit Andy Murray, Grigor Dimitrov, and Caroline Wozniacki.

Romeo has overcome health obstacles to achieve his athletic success. In 2006, David and Victoria revealed Romeo, then 4, was diagnosed with epilepsy, which causes seizures and convulsions. According to People, paparazzi agreed not to take pictures of young Romeo because their camera flashes could trigger his condition.

Romeo is currently dating model Mia Regan, with the couple reportedly beginning their relationship in 2019. The two attended Wimbledon together earlier this year.

Cruz Beckham

While Romeo and Brooklyn both tried out the soccer pitch like their dad, Cruz David, now 18, has followed in Victoria’s footsteps from an early age as a performer. He even showed off his breakdancing moves during a Spice Girls concert the night before his 3^rd birthday in February 2008.

Cruz, who often posts photos of his music making on Instagram, released his debut single “If Every Day Was Christmas” in 2016 to help raise money for the Global’s Make Some Noise charity organization. According to People, he plays the guitar, mandolin, and piano and now records his own music. He is also a model, though he insists music will always be his top priority.

The teenager also pays tribute to his mother’s famous stage persona with a “Posh” tattoo on his right arm.

Harper Beckham

The name of David and Victoria’s only daughter, who was born in July 2011, has special significance. According to The Guardian, Harper is a direct reference to Harper Lee, the author of the 1960 novel To Kill a Mockingbird. “Victoria’s favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s a very strong, passionate book,” David explained shortly after Harper’s birth. Meanwhile, her middle name Seven symbolizes spiritual perfection—such as the seven wonders of the world and seven colors in a rainbow—and is a lucky number among many cultures (not to mention her dad’s longtime jersey number).

According to People, the Beckhams have tried to keep Harper, 12, out of the limelight as much as possible—she isn’t on social media yet. Still, they’ve shared plenty of photos of their daughter trying a variety of activities, including soccer, horseback riding, and even martial arts training. Harper also shares a close friendship with actor Drew Barrymore’s two daughters, Frankie and Olive.

Harper is apparently somewhat of a fashion critic as well. In a July 2022 interview with Vogue Australia, Victoria revealed her daughter wasn’t a fan of her old Spice Girls ensembles. “And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were,” Victoria said. “I said, ‘Are you never going to wear skirts like that?’ She said, ‘Absolutely not.’ We’ll see.”
