Kim Petras has certainly reached a new height in her career between 2022 and 2023 with her collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy.” The success of this song has led to Petras’ first no. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, her first-ever Grammy Award, and several live performances that include Saturday Night Live, the Grammy Awards, and the BRIT Awards, among others.
In the meantime, rumors about a Kim Petras and Nicki Minaj collaboration had been going around for some time. Well, we are happy to report that the song is now officially on its way!
Petras announced this brand-new collab with Minaj on her social media pages. The Grammy-winning popstar announced that the song is titled “Alone,” and that it will be released on Friday, April 21.
Petras has also shared a snippet of “Alone” on TikTok, which features the lyrics:
“I’ve been trying to give it to you all night / What’s it gonna take to get you all alone?”

Despite only having heard a few seconds of “Alone,” it is already clear that the song will be sampling the legendary beat from “Better Off Alone” by Alice Deejay. Released in 1999, “Better Off Alone” was one of the most popular EDM songs of the 2000s decade.
Even though we’re still two weeks away from listening to the full version of “Alone,” we are already shaking in our boots!
