Everything you need to know before Laconia’s 100th Motorcycle Week arrives
For the 100th straight year, thousands will descend on Laconia, New Hampshire for the world’s oldest motorcycle rally.
The week-long gathering on Lake Winnipesaukee can trace its roots back to 1916.
From June 10 to 18, there’s no shortage of events and opportunities for motorcyclists to mingle with other diehards.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
Between daily scenic rides, races at New Hampshire Motorspeedway, and a cruise around Lake Winnipesaukee, there’s no shortage of things to do in Laconia.
Brave riders can also make the climb up Mount Washington, the tallest point in the Northeast.
There are also charity rides, motorcycle-skill contests and build-offs.

WHERE CAN I STAY?
Although hotel rooms began to fill up months ago, there’s still lodging around Laconia that event officials recommend whether you’re cruising on a budget or willing to splurge.

WHERE CAN I PARK MY RIDE?
There’s no shortage of places to park your car or bike. While there are certain No Parking Zones, event officials stress that there is no need to ever pay over $5 to park your motorcycle. Parking on Lakeside Avenue will be free for motorcycles all week while the parking lot on Weirs Beach is $5. Other lots in the area offer similar deals, according to event officials.
