Executive Chef Jordan Hicks has prepared the dish as one dinner option for Fratellos' special Restaurant Week Fox Cities menu. The event runs Friday through Feb. 5.

Restaurant Week Fox Cities is almost here, meaning you can soon eat delicious, specially curated meals at 17 local eateries.

From Friday until Feb. 5, you can visit participating restaurants and enjoy either breakfast, lunch or dinner at set prices: $12 for breakfast, $17 for lunch and either $28 or $34 for dinner. Most lunches and dinners are three courses featuring an appetizer, entre and dessert.

"You go out to a restaurant and you may only order one course," said Jay Supple, CEO of Supple Group, which owns Fox River Brewing Co., Fratellos Waterfront Restaurant and Melting Pot. "The cool thing for us as restaurateurs is that we get to feature an appetizer, we get to feature an entrée and we get to feature the dessert."

All three of Supple's restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week, and Supple said his staff starts planning for the event months in advance. He added many of the featured items are not on their usual menus, giving diners the opportunity to try something new.

"It's great for the area," he said. "It's great for all the restaurants for people to just get out and try."

Diners who participate in Restaurant Week have a chance of winning a $50 gift card, which is awarded daily, or a chef-pairing dinner for six at Osorio's Latin Fusion in Appleton worth $800.

To enter, diners should post a picture of their meal experience to Instagram or Facebook before midnight each day and tag @restaurantweekfoxcities on Instagram or Restaurant Week Fox Cities and TDSFiber on Facebook and include #TDSFiberRWFC in the caption. TDS Telecommunications LLC is sponsoring the event.

"We talk all the time about how we're really fortunate to have an amazing restaurant scene in the Fox Cities and it's something that encourages people to live, work and play here," said Maddie Jack, marketing communications manager for the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau, which organized Restaurant Week. "We're always encouraging our residents to go out and dine local."

Jack said while no tickets or registration is required to participate, the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau does recommend making reservations in advance.
