Everything you need to know about Colorado State spring football in 60 seconds

The second “season” of spring football for Jay Norvell’s Colorado State football program is here.

The Rams soon open spring ball and have 15 practices.

Here’s quick guide to everything fans should know about spring practice.

Note: A practice originally scheduled for the morning of March 25 was called off and moved to later in spring. Then, a March 27 practice was canceled due to the closure of CSU's campus because of snow.

Can fans attend CSU football spring practice?

Yes, all spring practices are fully open to the public.

When are practices?

The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 28: 8-11 a.m.

  • Thursday, March 30: 8-11 a.m.

  • Saturday, April 1: 9 a.m. to noon (scrimmage)

  • Monday, April 3: 8-11 a.m.

  • Tuesday, April 4: 8-11 a.m.

  • Thursday, April 6: 8-11 a.m.

  • Saturday, April 8: 9 a.m. to noon (scrimmage)

  • Monday, April 10: 8-11 a.m.

  • Tuesday, April 11: 8-11 a.m.

  • Thursday, April 13: 8-11 a.m.

  • Saturday, April 15: 9 a.m. to noon (scrimmage)

  • Monday, April 17: 8-11 a.m.

  • Tuesday, April 18: 8-11 a.m.

  • Thursday, April 20: 8-11 a.m.

When is the CSU football spring game?

The spring game is at 1 p.m. April 22 inside Canvas Stadium and is free to attend.

Key players and positions to watch

A lot of the depth chart is known. We know who will be at QB (Clay Millen) and some of the top receivers (Tory Horton, Justus Ross-Simmons, for starters). On defense, some of the linchpins are Mohamed Kamara (defensive end), Jack Howell (safety) and Chigozie Anusiem (cornerback).
