Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has numerous questions to answer after his team blew another double-digit lead in Week 7.
While it’s tough to pinpoint Texas’ recent struggles on one player, their issues with not being able to close out a game are inexcusable.
After dropping two consecutive games to Big 12 opponents, the Longhorns will now have a bye week prior to facing Baylor on Oct. 30. After the Week 7 outcomes, the conference title race appears to be between Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor.
Texas and Iowa State could certainly re-enter the conversation if they win the remaining games on the schedule, but they no longer control their own destiny.
After the heartbreaking loss, Sarkisian was asked about quarterback Casey Thompson’s struggles against Oklahoma State, why his team is struggling to finish a game, the questionable officiating, and numerous other subjects.
Take a look at everything Sarkisian said to the media on Monday.
Sark says they visited after the game about getting Keilan Robinson more involved offensively. Says there is a fine line with what Bijan provides as an electric player. He says he anticipates finding ways to get Keilan more involved moving foward.

Texas HC Steve Sarkisian says Casey Thompson is still the starter going forward.
Why didn't he make a switch like he did with Hudson Card versus Arkansas?:
"I think Casey has earned a little bit more of that right to work through some of those struggles.

Sarkisian on the bye: "We do, as a staff, dig into Baylor from a game plan standpoint and we will sprinkle some of those things throughout the practice, but the majority of the practice is making sure we recapture our fundamentals and techniques."

Sark: Level of frustration for all of us. We’re plenty capable to compete at a very high level with leads in the 4th quarter against 2 top 10 teams. It’s not about our ability to coach or play, it’s about our ability to sustain. @KXAN_News pic.twitter.com/5TFUIdIaiy
