Ex-Lockland councilman sentenced to 3 years in prison for child porn
A former Lockland councilman who officials said was uploading child pornography to the internet will serve three years in prison and have to register as a sex offender for 25 years.
Leslie Shawn Brock, who according to Lockland’s Facebook page was appointed to the village's council in July 2019, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court to six child pornography charges.
Judge Leslie Ghiz imposed a three-year sentence that had been agreed upon as part of the plea.
Ghiz told Brock, 56, that the outcome would have been different if there wasn’t an agreed sentence.
“I’m sure your attorney informed you about how I feel about these kinds of cases,” Ghiz said. “I don’t know if I would let you out at all. I would keep you in (prison) as long as I could.”
According to court documents, Brock possessed multiple child pornography photos depicting young girls. Investigators estimated that the girls were between 4 and 9 years old. When Brock was arrested and charged in September 2022, he was serving as a councilman.
One photo showed a girl, approximately 6 years old, with her legs and arms bound with duct tape and fabric covering her mouth, the documents say.
Another photo was of a girl, possibly 9 years old, naked and blindfolded, according to the documents.
Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor Jeff Heile said in court that the case did not include any named victims.
Brock declined to make a statement in court. Afterward, a sheriff’s deputy led him out of the courtroom in handcuffs.
